If you want to run a home daycare you need to contact your local council or childcare provision, depending on the place of your residence. Many things depend on where you live, how many children you will be caring for, and what are the regulations for your area or state. The easiest way to find out would be to contact your local Department of Social Services Licensing Division. They can give you all the regulations that are required in your area. There's still the easiest way to find out everyhting you need to know about the possibilities you would be allowed to open and run your own in-home daycare - by calling a licensing agent and asking him/her to visit your house and to do an inspection before your opening a home daycare, so you'd be advised all the corrections you need to make before you apply to get licensed.
