March 2006. The Alabama Supreme Court ruled that the public is to be allowed to access all criminal records that had been expunged by the Mobile municipal court and kept from public view since 1988. The court also upheld a Mobile circuit judge's order forbidding the city's municipal court to expunge or remove a criminal file from public access in the future.
