Tuesday, October 25, 2005. JEFFERSON CITY – Governor Matt Blunt of Missouri has denied the clemency request for Marlin Gray who was found guilty and sentenced to death for the murders of sisters Julie Kerry and Robin Kerry in 1991. Blunt carefully reviewed the case, including the court records, applications for clemency, and the Board of Probation and Parole’s report recommending clemency be denied. Blunt found no reason to set aside the result of previous judicial decisions on this case.
Greene County, Missouri, Court Records Damaged. Rain water from a leak at the county's Archives and Records Center dripped into about 50 cardboard boxes. The boxes contained hundreds of Greene County Circuit Court records, some from the 1800s but most dated from 1900 to 1920, county officials said. Records include court proceedings such as lawsuits, delinquent taxes and criminal cases.
