Nebraska truck firm ordered to pay trucker's widow $2 million. A Nebraska-based trucking firm has been ordered to pay an employee $2.176 million in a wrongful termination lawsuit. Paula J. Breedlove sued Transwood of Omaha, NE, on behalf of her late husband, Billy Breedlove, a trucker who worked out of the company's Pryor, OK, terminal.
A public hearing was held March 16 2001, in Washington, D.C., on the privacy and security implications of public access to federal court documents via the Internet. "Potential litigants and attorneys, the media, and those who have a commercial interest in the content of court records, for example, all have a stake in the process," said Judge John W. Lungstrum.
